These plants can be grown without co2, fertilizer is recommended but can be grown without since they are a hardy species. Cryptocoryne plants are heavy root feeders so the best way to provide nutrients to them is with root tabs. You can place a root tab directly beneath the plant and the roots will soak up nutrients from the root tablet.
